The former Equestrian Center features brick flooring, 30 foot ceilings, and stunning wooden structure that pairs perfectly with our newly renovated distillery & tasting room, bringing elements of old and new together for the coziest of events!

A classical prodigy on the violin, multi- instrumentalist Karine Pierson has over twenty- five years of experience planning and playing at the weddings of thousands of happy couples. An Interlochen and University of Michigan-trained artist, Karine has spent most of her career running a successful, full-time wedding band and entertainment company. When Karine is not planning or playing at weddings, she plays in her original band The Lofteez. Karine is also the owner of a violin shop and music lessons studio in Traverse City. In the spring of 2025 Karine plans to debut a new wedding and event band that will be available for bookings, The Decibelz, a six-piece female-fronted band featuring the electric violin. Karine lives in Traverse City.

Outdoor weddings are difficult to plan. There are so many things that are unpredictable, like the weather. The one thing often forgot or not considered is how your guest will hear everything. How many times have you been to an outdoor wedding and you couldn’t hear anything especially the vows.

I was at an outdoor wedding on the beach with about 80 guests in attendance. We were 50 feet from the minister on a calm evening and we could hardly hear him. The sound from the water running up the shore over powered him.  

I can’t begin to tell you how many times there is no audio system or they are using cheap equipment and the audio cuts in and out through the ceremony. Yikes! After seeing it all, I have researched and put together one of the best systems that is portable with excellent wireless mics for your ceremony. I have seen what works and what doesn’t.
